Description and Symbolism
The King of Wands sits on his throne with a rather cold expression on his face to indicate that he is using his rational mind. The throne is decorated with lions representing power and strength and salamanders, which are symbolic of the element fire - the element of the wands. A salamander also sits on the floor next to the king. The king holds a wand in his hand and he seems to be determined to take action. The red robe he is wearing symbolizes his passion and power.
In the King of Wands card, the elements Fire and Air are combined and therefore the realm of the passions and mental force. If he does not represent a person, he can indicate certain behaviours that you display or have to display, if it is meant as an advice. Maybe you have a goal in mind that you are passionate about, and you have to use your intellect to get to the right results. It can indicate that you have to take a risk and need to leave feelings of uncertainty aside. King of Wands can also advise you to act like a leader in a situation, to keep a cool head, and to keep your goal in mind, without having feelings distract you on your way.
